DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback frame and seat cushion frame may injure your hands.

HINT:

  • Use the same procedures for the LH and RH side.
  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the screw and reclining adjuster release handle.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER LH

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER RH

4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.

Torque:

41 N·m {420 kgf·cm, 30ft·lbf}

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 2 headrest supports.

(b) Remove the cushion.

(c) Remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.

(d) Remove the seatback cover from the seatback pad.

7. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LAP TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER WITH INNER BELT

(a) Remove the nut and rear No. 2 seat lap type belt with inner belt.

8. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE

9. REMOVE REAR SEAT STAY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear seat stay.

10. REMOVE ADJUSTER

(a) Remove the 3 nuts.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts.

Torque:

18 N·m {185 kgf·cm, 13ft·lbf} for bolt A

37 N·m {380 kgf·cm, 27ft·lbf} for bolt B

(c) Remove the adjuster.

(d) Remove the seat leg bracket cover.

(e) Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 seat leg stay.

11. REMOVE SEAT LEG BRACKET

12. REMOVE SEAT LEG REAR COVER

13. REMOVE SEAT LEG COVER

14. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION UNDER CARPET

(a) Remove the assist grip.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the hooks.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Remove the 8 screws.

(d) Remove the seat cushion under carpet.

15. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER CONTROL CABLE

16. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING INNER COVER LH

17. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING INNER COVER RH

18. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear No. 2 seat reclining adjuster.

Torque:

41 N·m {420 kgf·cm, 30ft·lbf}

19. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER RH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear No. 2 seat reclining adjuster.

Torque:

41 N·m {420 kgf·cm, 30ft·lbf}

(b) Remove the rear No. 2 seat reclining adjuster.

20. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover with pad from the seat cushion frame.

HINT:

At the time of reassembly, refer to the following item.

When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

(b) Remove the seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

21. REMOVE NO. 2 FOLD SEAT STOPPER BAND

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Remove the stopper band.
