ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the connector from the combination switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

If circuit is as specified, replace the relay.

If circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.

2. CHECK TOWING CONVERTER RELAY CIRCUIT

(a) Remove the towing converter with connector still connected and inspect the wire harness side connector from the back side as shown in the table.

3. CHECK LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the C18 switch connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side , as shown.

OK:

(c) Connect the wire harness side connector to the light control and dimmer switch.

(d) Inspect the connector from the back side, as shown.

4. CHECK HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the C18 switch connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

OK:

Continuity

(c) Connect the wire harness side connector to the light control and dimmer switch.

(d) Inspect the connector from the back side, as shown.

If circuit is not as specified, inspect the wire harness.

5. CHECK FOG LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the C18 switch connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

OK:

(c) Connect the wire harness side connector to the light control and dimmer switch.

(d) Inspect the connector from the back side, as shown.

If circuit is not as specified, inspect the wire harness.

6. CHECK TURN SIGNAL SWITCH CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the C18 switch connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

OK:

Continuity

If circuit is not as specified, inspect the wire harness.

(c) Connect the wire harness side connector to the light control and dimmer switch.

(d) Inspect the connector from the back side, as shown.

7. CHECK FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the F12 light connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

Continuity

If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.

8. CHECK REAR PERSONAL LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the F11 light connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard continuity:

If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.

9. CHECK VANITY LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the vanity light connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.

10. CHECK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the door courtesy switch connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

OK:

If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.

11. CHECK BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the block door courtesy light switch connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

OK:

Continuity

If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.

12. CHECK FOOT LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the foot light connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

13. CHECK INSIDE DOOR HANDLE ILLUMINATION CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the inside door handle illumination connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

OK

14. CHECK SIDE STEP LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the side step light connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

15. CHECK OUTER FOOT LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the outer foot light connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

16. CHECK CENTER CONSOLE STEP LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the center console step light connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

17. CHECK STOP LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the stop light switch connectors.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

2 - Body ground

10 to 14 V

If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.

18. CHECK HI-MOUNTED STOP LIGHT CIRCUIT

(a) Disconnect the hi-mount stop light connector.

(b) Inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.

Standard voltage:

If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.
