Height Control OFF Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This is the height control system main switch. When the height control switch is pushed, the height control OFF indicator light lights up and height control goes off.

The OFF condition of the height control will not be cancelled until the height control switch is pushed again or the vehicle is driven.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:

When using the intelligent tester, start from *1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from *2.

PROCEDURE

1.

READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEIGHT CONTROL SWITCH)*1

(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON and push the intelligent tester main switch ON.

(c) Select the DATA LIST mode on the intelligent tester.

(d) Check the height control switch condition displayed on the intelligent tester when pushing the height control switch.

OK:

When height control switch is pushed: ON is displayed for height control switch condition.

GO TO STEP 3

CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU*2

(a) Remove the suspension control ECU with connectors still connected.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Measure the voltage between terminal NSW of the suspension control ECU connector and body ground when the height control switch is pushed and released.

Standard voltage:

INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL SWITCH (HEIGHT CONTROL SWITCH)

(a) Remove the suspension control switch.

(b) Disconnect the suspension control switch (for height control switch) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance between terminals 9 and 4 of the suspension control switch (for height control switch) connector when the height control switch is pushed and released.

Standard resistance:
