ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH

(a) Measure the resistance of the switch.

OK:

No continuity
  • If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

2. INSPECT DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RELAY

(a) Measure the resistance of the relay.

OK:

Tester Connection

D2-5 - D2-3

Continuity

D2-2 - D2-5

Apply battery positive voltage between terminals D2-1 and D3-3

D3-1 - D3-2

Apply battery positive voltage between terminals D3-3 and D3-4
  • If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
