REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

4. REMOVE REAR MAT SET PLATE 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL+

5. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LH 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL+

6. REMOVE SPEAKER

(a) Remove the 5 bolts, and then disconnect the connector.

7. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK

(a) Turn the fuel filler opening lid lock to remove it.

(b) Remove the fuel filler opening lid lock.

8. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID

(a) Open the opening lid.

(b) Remove the fuel tank cap tether from the fuel filler opening lid.

(c) Remove the 2 screws and opening lid.

9. REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP WITH TETHER

10. REMOVE FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE SHIELD

(a) Remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 fuel tank filler pipe shield rings.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Remove the fuel tank filler pipe shield.

CAUTION:

  • Always keep the tank cap closed when it is not required to be opened.
  • Keep all fire away during the operation.
