DESCRIPTION

The ECU power source circuit supplies positive voltage to the tilt and telescopic ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK THAT BATTERY POSITIVE VOLTAGE IS 11 V OR MORE WHEN ENGINE STOPPED

CHARGE OR REPLACE BATTERY

OK

2.

CHECK TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

(a) Remove the ECU with the connectors still connected.

(b) Measure the voltage between terminals ECUB and GND of the T8 ECU connector.

Standard voltage:

8 to 16 V

REPLACE TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BODY GROUND)

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK

4.

INSPECT FUSE (ECU-B2, BAT)

(a) Remove the ECU-B2 fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.

(b) Remove the BAT fuse from the engine room junction block.

(c) Measure the resistance of the fuses.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ω
