REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and V-bank cover.
3. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE
(a) Disconnect the 3 hoses.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts.
(c) Loosen the 2 clamp bolts and remove the intake air connector.
4. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)

(a) Disconnect the oil control valve connector. |

(b) Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.
5. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)
|
(a) Disconnect the oil control valve connector. |
|
(b) Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.
