REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; 2UZ-FE COOLING: COOLANT: REPLACEMENT+

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; 2UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL+

4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; 2UZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL+

5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY

(a) Disconnect the throttle position sensor and control connector.

(b) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses.

(c) Remove the 3 bolts, nut, throttle body and gasket.
