DESCRIPTION
The side squib RH circuit consists of the center airbag sensor and the side airbag RH.
The circuit instructs the SRS to deploy when deployment conditions are met.
DTC B0111/44 is recorded when an open is detected in the side squib RH circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CHECK NO. 2 FLOOR WIRE (SIDE SQUIB RH CIRCUIT) |
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK. |
|
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
(c) Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor and the side airbag RH (side squib RH).
(d) Measure the resistance between SFR+ and SFR- of the No. 2 floor wire connector on the side airbag RH (side squib RH) side.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ω

CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY |
|
(a) Connect the connector to the center airbag sensor. |
|
(b) Using a service wire, connect SFR+ and SFR- of the S35 No. 2 floor wire connector on the side airbag RH (side squib RH) side.
(c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(e)
Clear the DTC stored in memory
.
(f) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(g) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(h)
Check the DTC

OK:
DTC B0111/44 is not output.
HINT:
Codes other than code B0111/44 may be output at this time, but they are not relevant to this check.

CHECK SIDE SQUIB RH |
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK. |
|
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
(c) Connect the side airbag RH (side squib RH) connector.
(d) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
(e) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(f)
Clear the DTC stored in memory
.
(g) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(h) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(i)
Check the DTC

OK:
DTC B0111/44 is not output.
