DESCRIPTION
The front pretensioner squib RH circuit consists of the center airbag sensor and the seat belt pretensioner RH.
This circuit instructs the SRS to deploy when deployment conditions are met.
DTC B0132/61 is recorded when a ground short is detected in the front pretensioner squib RH circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
|
1.
|
CHECK NO. 2 FLOOR WIRE (FRONT PRETENSIONER SQUIB RH CIRCUIT)
|
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
|
|
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Disconnect the P21connectors from the center airbag sensor and the front seat outer belt RH.
(d) Measure the resistance between the body ground and PR+ of the P21 No. 2 floor wire connector on the seat belt pretensioner RH (front pretensioner squib RH) side.
Standard resistance:
1 MΩor higher

CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
|
|
(a) Connect the connector to the center airbag sensor.
|
|
(b) Using a service wire, connect PR+ and PR- of the P21 No. 2 floor wire connector on the seat belt pretensioner RH (front pretensioner squib RH) side.
(c) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(e)
Clear the DTC stored in memory

(f) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(g) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(h)
Check the DTC
.
OK:
DTC B0132/61 is not output.
HINT:
Codes other than code B0132/61 may be output at this time, but they are not relevant to this check.

CHECK FRONT PRETENSIONER SQUIB RH
|
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
|
|
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
(c) Connect the seat belt pretensioner RH (front pretensioner squib RH) connector.
(d) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
(e) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(f)
Clear the DTC stored in memory
.
(g) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(h) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(i)
Check the DTC

OK:
DTC B0132/61 is not output.
