INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the generator with the bolt and 2 nuts.

Torque:

39 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29ft·lbf} for bolt

39 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29ft·lbf} for nut (A)

16 N·m {163 kgf·cm, 12ft·lbf} for nut (B)

(b) Connect the generator connector.

(c) Connect the generator wire with the nut and terminal cap.

Torque:

9.8 N·m {100 kgf·cm, 86in·lbf}

(d) Install the generator wire clamp to the cord clip on the generator.

2. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; POWER STEERING: VANE PUMP: INSTALLATION+

3. INSTALL FLUID COUPLING ASSEMBLY

(a) Put the fan with fluid coupling and fan shroud into the engine room at the same time.

(b) Install the fan shroud with the 3 bolts.

Torque:

5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44in·lbf}

(c) Install the fan with fluid coupling with the 4 nuts.

Torque:

29 N·m {296 kgf·cm, 21ft·lbf}

4. INSTALL DRIVE BELT 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; 2UZ-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: DRIVE BELT: INSTALLATION+

5. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION .

NOTICE:

Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
