DESCRIPTION

The engine hood courtesy switch is built into the engine hood lock assembly and turns ON when the engine hood is opened and turns OFF when the engine hood is closed.

READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH) *1

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the engine hood courtesy switch.

(a) Measure the resistance of the switch.

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - ECU AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the E3 switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the T6 ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:
