REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
HINT:
At the time of installation, perform initialization

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. DISCONNECT WATER HOSES FROM HEATER RADIATOR PIPES

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip along the hose. |
|
(b) Disconnect the water hoses.
HINT:
- Collect the engine coolant in a container.
|
(1) At the time of installation, push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe to the second ridge on the pipe. |

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX
5. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX COVER
6. REMOVE LOWER CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE
8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM
9. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH COVER
11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH
12. SLIDE FLOOR CARPET BACKWARD
13. REMOVE COOLER BRACKET

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and cooler bracket. |
|
14. REMOVE REAR HEATER DUCT
|
(a) Remove the bolt, screw and rear heater duct. |
|
15. REMOVE REAR HEATER UNIT
|
(a) Disconnect the connector. |
|
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and rear heater unit.
