ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
HINT:
The rear heater relay is built in the engine room junction block. Since the relay is constructed with a relay block that is in the junction block as a unit, it is impossible to disconnect the wire harness connecting with the relay block. If the relay has a malfunction, replace it together with the junction block assembly wire harness.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. DISCONNECT ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK

(a) Disconnect the relay block from the vehicle body.

3. CHECK ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK (RR HTR RELAY)

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
