DESCRIPTION
This circuit provides power to operate the rain sensor. The auto wiper system is operated when the wiper switch is in the AUTO position. The rain sensor is connected to each ECU at the multiplex communication circuit. When it detects raindrops that are on to the detection area of the windshield glass, it sends the wiper control signal according to the amount of raindrops.

INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG2) |
(a) Remove the ECU-IG2 fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ω

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RAIN SENSOR - BATTERY) |
(a) Disconnect the R40 sensor connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
