DISASSEMBLY
1. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH
(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror LH
|
(1) Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws. HINT: Apply protective tape to the mirror body. |
|
|
(b) Pull up the mirror and disconnect it. |
|
|
(c) Disconnect the mirror connector (1) Disconnect the mirror connector and remove the outer rear view mirror LH. |
|
2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR LH
(a) Remove the gasket
|
(1) Cut the wire harness at the positions shown in the illustration. |
|
(2) Remove the screw and gasket.
(b) Remove the harness holder
|
(1) Remove the screw and harness holder. |
|
(c) Remove the base
|
(1) Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and base. NOTICE: Make sure to replace the "TORX" screws with new ones. |

(d) Remove the mirror actuator w/ frame sub-assembly
|
(1) Disengage the clamp. |
|
(2) Remove the 5 screws and mirror actuator w/ frame sub-assembly
(e) Remove the mirror actuator
|
(1) Remove the 3 screws. |
|
|
(2) Disconnect the 3 connectors and remove the mirror actuator. NOTICE: When disconnecting the 2 mirror actuator connectors, use a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape. |
