DESCRIPTION
This circuit checks that each signal required to operate the night view system is normally input to the night view ECU.
(Operating conditions:

NOTICE:
Do not apply grease to sliding parts of the display cover.

1.

CHECK HEADLIGHT FUNCTION
|
(a) Turn the headlight ON.
(b) Verify that all headlight functions are normal.
OK:
Headlight function is correct.

GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM
|
| OK |
|
|
(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON and the intelligent tester main switch ON.
(c) Check DTC.
OK:
There is no B1244 DTC.
HINT:
B1244: Light sensor circuit malfunction

CHECK NIGHT VIEW ECU (HERLY VOLTAGE)
|
(a) Remove the combination meter assembly.
(b) Turn the light control switch to HEAD and the headlight dimmer switch to LO or HI.
|
(c) Measure the voltage between terminal HERLY of the night view ECU connector "N6" and body ground.
(Terminals of ECU:

Standard voltage:
Below 1 V

CHECK NIGHT VIEW ECU (CON VOLTAGE)
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch ON.
|
(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the output waveform between terminal CON of the night view ECU connector "N6" and body ground.

OK:
The output waveform is as shown in the illustration.
