Jam Protection Limit Switch Circuit on Driver Door

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when failure of the jam protection limit switch circuit is detected. The jam protection limit switch is built into the front power window regulator motor assembly LH. This switch is OFF when the window stays between the fully closed position and 4 mm below the full closed position, and the power window regulator master switch assembly reads this signal.

No change in limit switch for more than 2.0 seconds even if operating glass down when limit switch is OFF (window glass is fully closed)
  • Front power window regulator motor assembly LH (jam protection limit switch)
  • Power window regulator master switch assembly
  • Wire harness

HINT:

When the power window regulator master switch detects the condition that the power window is lowered to turn the jam protection limit switch from OFF to ON, this DTC is cleared.

HINT:

When using the intelligent tester, start from *1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from *2.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK FOR DTC *1

(a) Delete the DTC 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; WINDSHIELD / WINDOWGLASS: POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

(b) Recheck for the DTC when the power window is lowered from the fully closed position to half opened position.

OK:

DTC B1231 is not output.

OK

NO PROBLEM (IT IS SUSPECTED THAT DTC WAS DETECTED BY ECU WITH ANY FAILURE IN PAST)

READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (JAM PROTECTION LIMIT SWITCH)

(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.

(b) Check the jam protection limit switch using the DATA LIST.
