DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

1. READ DATA LIST

HINT:

Using the intelligent tester's DATA LIST allows switch, sensor, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the DATA LIST early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Read the DATA LIST by following the directions on the tester screen.

GLASS POS-1/4

Margin for jam protection triggering force of window glass within range of fully closed to 1/4 open position / OK or CAUTION

OK Margin is sufficient during manual UP operation:

CAUTION: May be displayed even when no resistance is applied in either position. In this case there is a foreign object stuck in that position

GLASS POS-2/4

Margin for jam protection triggering force of window glass within range of fully closed to 1/2 open position / OK or CAUTION

UP/DOOR KEY

Make all door windows go up manually by holding driver's side door key to lock side for 1.5 seconds when ignition switch is OFF / NOT AVL or AVAIL

NOT AVL: Function is not available

DOWN/DOOR KEY

Make all door windows go down manually by holding driver's side door key to lock side for 1.5 seconds when ignition switch is OFF / NOT AVL or AVAIL

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST

HINT:

Perform the intelligent tester's ACTIVE TEST allows relay, VSV, actuator and other items to be operated without removing any parts. Performing the ACTIVE TEST early in troubleshooting is one way to save time. The DATA LIST can be displayed during the ACTIVE TEST.

(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Perform the ACTIVE TEST by following the directions on the tester screen.
