2. |
CHECK SLIDING ROOF PULSE PLATE OPERATION |
(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON and intelligent tester main switch ON.
(c) Select the DATA LIST mode on the intelligent tester.
(d) Operate the sliding roof using the intelligent tester.
At this time, check that the status (ON / OFF) of LIMIT SW1 and LIMIT SW2 change on the intelligent tester display as shown in the chart below.
NOTICE:
Caution is necessary not to be caught in the roof glass because the jam protection system does not operate during the ACTIVE TEST.
OK:
Status (ON / OFF) of LIMIT SW1 and LIMIT SW2 change on intelligent tester display as shown in chart below.

CHECK SLIDING ROOF MOTOR STATUS |
(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
(b) Enter the ACTIVE TEST mode of the intelligent tester.
(c) Check that "Sliding Roof" operates according to the intelligent tester commands.
At this time, check that the motor status changes on the display of the intelligent tester as the slide roof motor switch of the vehicle is turned.
OK:
The motor status is normal.

4. |
PERFORM FORCED OPERATION |
(a) Holding the CLOSE / UP (OPEN / DOWN) switch pressed inhibits the jam protection function approximately 10 seconds after starting the reverse operation. If the switch remains pressed any longer, the sliding door starts the close operation and it stops when detecting the fully closed position.
HINT:
Approximately 10 seconds after starting the reverse operation, it is switched to the forced close (down) operation.
