DESCRIPTION

The door courtesy switch comes on when the door is opened and goes off when the door is closed.

Therefore, battery positive voltage is applied to the terminal DOOR of the ECU when all the doors are closed and 0 V is applied when even one door is opened.

HINT:

When using the intelligent tester, start from *1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from *2.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK OPERATION OF OPEN DOOR WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check that open door warning light comes on when each door is opened and goes off when all doors are closed 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; METER: METER / GAUGE SYSTEM: Warning Light Circuit .

CHECK OR REPAIR OPEN DOOR WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT

READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)*1

(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON and push the intelligent tester main switch ON.

(c) Select the DATA LIST mode on the intelligent tester.

(d) Check the door courtesy switch condition displayed on the intelligent tester when all doors are closed and each door is opened.

OK:

When each door is opened: ON is displayed for door courtesy switch condition.

When all doors are closed: OFF is displayed for door courtesy switch condition.

CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU*2

(a) Remove the suspension control ECU with connectors still connected

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Measure the voltage between terminal DOOR of the suspension control ECU connector and body ground when all doors are closed and each door is opened.

Standard voltage:
