REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

(a) Remove the front fender liner LH 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD: COMPONENTS .

2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD: COMPONENTS .

3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the hood lock assembly 2007 MY LX470 [08/2006 -        ]; ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD: COMPONENTS .

4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable from the clamps.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Using a screwdriver, pry out the cable stopper from the grommet.

HINT:

  • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  • Do not damage the grommet with the screwdriver.

(c) Pull the cable from the front wheel housing to remove it.
