REMOVAL

NOTICE:

If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected with the ignition switch in the ON position, DTCs will be recorded.
Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing the parts, replace them with new ones.
Never reuse an occupant classification ECU if an airbag has previously deployed in a collision.
Remove the front seat cushion cover pad and front seat cushion cover together in order to avoid occupant classification sensor malfunctions.

1. SAVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU DATA

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER RH

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

8. REMOVE SEAT TRACK LOWER RAIL PROTECTOR NO.1

9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER RH

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER

13. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.

(b) Remove the wiring harness clamp.
