NOTICE:

First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(b) Check for DTCs LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

OK:

DTC B2414 output does not occur.

OK

2.

REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

(a) Temporarily replace the steering angle sensor with a new or normally functioning one BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+ .

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(b) Recheck for DTCs LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

OK:

DTC B2414 output does not reoccur.
