DRx Mode*

After the engine switch is turned off, remote service is possible as the system is on standby for incoming calls

HINT:

*: (1) If the system is registered in a digital cellular network:

During the first 8 hours after the engine switch is turned off, the system will remain in stand-by to receive incoming call center calls. After this 8 hour period and for the next 40 hours, the system will cycle between stand-by for 1 minute and off mode for 9 minutes. The system can still receive incoming call center calls during this cycling period. After a total of 48 hours after the engine switch is turned off, the system will switch into off mode until the next time the engine switch is turned on (IG). No call center calls can be received during this time.

*: (2) If the system is registered in an analog cellular network:

After the engine switch is turned off, the system will immediately begin the 1 minute stand-by and 9 minute off mode cycle and continue this cycle for 48 hours. After a total of 48 hours, the system will switch into off mode until the next time the engine switch is turned on (IG) (there is no 8 hour stand-by in an analog network).

*: (3) The system requires a GPS fix to perform the functions described in (1), and (2). If there is no GPS fix, the system will enter off mode immediately after the engine switch is turned off.

*: (4) GPS fix is lost when B+ is removed from the telephone ECU assembly (mayday ECU). To obtain a GPS fix after re-connecting B+ to the ECU, park the vehicle with the engine switch on (IG) for approximately 5 minutes outside in an open area.
