DESCRIPTION
This DTC is stored when either of the following occurs: 1) the telephone ECU assembly is malfunctioning; or 2) the mayday switch on the map light assembly is malfunctioning.

CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (MAYDAY SWITCH) |
(a) Check that the mayday switch is not stuck by pressing the switch several times.
(b) Check for DTC again

OK:
Current DTC 4-4 is not output.

INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (MAYDAY SWITCH) |
(a) Remove the map light
.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
