INSTALLATION

HINT:

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE

(a) Install a new clip to the flexible hose.

(b) Using a union nut wrench, connect the brake tube to the flexible hose while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

Torque: 15 N·m (155 kgf·cm, 11 ft·lbf)

Torque: 14 N·m (145 kgf·cm, 10 ft·lbf)

HINT:

  • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
  • The torque value for use with a union nut wrench is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.

NOTICE:

  • Do not bend or damage the brake tube.
  • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting point.

(c) Install the bolt.

Torque: 31 N·m (316 kgf·cm, 23 ft·lbf)


(d) Install a new gasket and connect the flexible hose with the union bolt.

Torque: 30 N·m (306 kgf·cm, 22 ft·lbf)

2. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: BLEEDING (2008 LX570)+

3. BLEED BRAKE LINE BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: BLEEDING (2008 LX570)+

4. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE FLUID: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION (2008 LX570)+

5. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque: 131 N·m (1336 kgf·cm, 97 ft·lbf)
