INSPECTION

1. INSPECT REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the wiper operation.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the rear wiper motor and check if the rear wiper motor operates.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (+1)

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (E)

Motor operates

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.

(b) Check the automatic stop position operation.

(1) Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 (+1), and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (S) and terminal 4 (E). With the motor rotating, disconnect the negative (-) lead from terminal 1 (S) to stop the wiper motor operation at any position other than the matchmark.

(2) Check that the motor stops automatically at the matchmark.

OK:

Motor stops automatically at the matchmark.

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.
