Front Airbag Sensor RH Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The front airbag sensor RH consists of the diagnostic circuit and the frontal deceleration sensor, etc.

If the center airbag sensor receives signals from the frontal deceleration sensor, it determines whether the SRS should be activated.

DTC B1610/13 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the front airbag sensor RH circuit.

When one of the following conditions is met:

  • A front airbag sensor RH malfunction.
  • A center airbag sensor malfunction.
  • Front airbag sensor RH
  • Center airbag sensor assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR RH


(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Interchange the front airbag sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.

(d) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(e) Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

(f) Clear the DTCs stored in the memory SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(g) Turn the engine switch off.

(h) Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

(i) Check for DTCs SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .
