Headlight Leveling Motor RH Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor operates by receiving a signal from the AFS ECU. The AFS ECU detects the headlight leveling motor status using the signal from the headlight leveling motor.

1.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(b) Check for DTCs LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

OK:

DTC B2424 or B2425 output does not occur.

OK

2.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AFS ECU)

(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the E91 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - HEADLIGHT)


(a) Disconnect the E91 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the A42 and A48 actuator connectors.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Temporarily replace the headlight with a new or normally functioning one.

(b) Check for DTCs LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

OK:

DTC B2424 or B2425 output does not occur.
