Wiper Switch (HI Speed) Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The windshield wiper ECU receives the HI position signal of the wiper switch to operate the wiper motor at HI speed. Even if the ECU malfunctions, its circuit structure enables it to operate the wiper in HI operation mode.

(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH

(a) Remove the windshield wiper switch WIPER / WASHER: WIPER SWITCH: REMOVAL (2008 LX570) .



(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH - WINDSHIELD WIPER ECU)


(a) Disconnect the E16 switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the E89 ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
