LIN Communication Master Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open, short or ECU communication malfunction between the main body ECU (cowl side junction block LH) and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When using the Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:

Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

HINT:

When DTC B2287 and B2785 are output simultaneously, perform the troubleshooting for DTC B2785 first .

PROCEDURE

CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC .

2.	CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Recheck for DTCs .

3.	CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - MAIN BODY ECU)

(a) Disconnect the E29 and 2D ECU connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
E29-10 (LIN) - 2D-20 (LIN1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
E29-10 (LIN) or 2D-20 (LIN1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Standard Voltage:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
E29-10 (LIN) or 2D-20 (LIN1) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 V

4.	CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH)

(a) Temporarily replace the main body ECU (cowl side junction block LH) with a new or normally functioning one.

(b) Clear the DTC .

5.	CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Recheck for DTCs .
