DESCRIPTION

If the communication line (EFIO-IMI) to the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) is stuck on HI output, the ECM outputs this DTC.

CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(a) Check for DTCs THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

HINT:

If DTCs other than DTC B279A are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - ECM)


(a) Disconnect the E28 box connector.

(b) Disconnect the A38 ECM connector.

(c) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
