Tire Pressure Monitor ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

The tire pressure warning ECU exchanges speed signals and warning light signals with the combination meter via CAN communication.

NOTICE:

It is necessary to perform initialization after registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU and/or the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter has been replaced.

1.	CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(d) Select "CAN Bus Check" from the System Selection Menu screen, and follow the prompts on the screen to inspect the CAN Bus.

2.	CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

DTC is not output	A
DTC is output	B

3.	CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL (DATA LIST)

(a) Check that the values indicated on the Techstream and on the combination meter are the same.

After turning the engine switch on (IG), wait for 10 seconds or more and then check if DTC C2179/79 is output.
