REMOVAL

HINT:

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

2. DISCONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the brake tube bracket from the steering knuckle.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the disc brake caliper from the steering knuckle.

NOTICE:

  • Do not disconnect the flexible hose from the disc brake caliper.
  • Do not twist or bend the flexible hose.

3. REMOVE FRONT DISC

4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB GREASE CAP LH

(a) Using a screwdriver and hammer, tap out the axle hub grease cap.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the axle hub.

5. REMOVE FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT LH

(a) Remove the cotter pin and adjusting lock cap.

(b) Using a 39 mm socket wrench, remove the axle hub nut.

6. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts.

(b) Using SST, remove the front axle hub together with the dust cover.

(c) Remove the O-ring.
