REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the seat SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 LX570) .

2. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and ECU from the seat.

NOTICE:

  • If replacing the ECU, replace the front seat set (cushion assembly, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).
  • If the occupant classification ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.

3. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Apply protective tape around the cushion shield.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Remove the 3 screws.

(c) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cushion shield.

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER RH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

8. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH

(a) Remove the 3 screws and switch from the seat.

(b) Disconnect the connector.

9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(b) Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

(c) Disconnect the seat heater control connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

(d) Bend the 2 seat frame claws upward.

(e) Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

10. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Detach the clamp.

(c) Remove the 2 clips and sensor.
