There is no communication from the power back door unit assembly (power back door ECU).

  • Power source circuit of power back door unit assembly (power back door ECU)
  • Power back door unit assembly (power back door ECU)
  • Power back door unit assembly (power back door ECU) branch wire or connector

For vehicles with the power back door system only.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal before measuring the resistances of the main wire and the branch wire.

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (POWER BACK DOOR UNIT BRANCH WIRE)



(a) Disconnect the L36 power back door unit (power back door ECU) connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER BACK DOOR UNIT - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION (2008 LX570) .


(b) Disconnect the L36 power back door unit (power back door ECU) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:
