Communication Error from ECM to VSC

DESCRIPTION

The distance control ECU sends brake control request signals, warning request signals, etc. to the master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) through the ECM. Based on these signals, the brake actuator operates and the warning buzzer sounds. The master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) sends brake system malfunction signals, etc. to the ECM.

The vehicle speed is 40 km/h (25 mph) or more with the cruise control main switch on (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode) and the data sent from the ECM to the master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) is abnormal.

REPLACE ECM

(a) Replace the ECM with a new one 3UR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ECM: REMOVAL (2008 LX570) .

CHECK DTC (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Code.

(b) Clear the DTCs CRUISE CONTROL: DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 LX570) .

(c) Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT:

If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more.

(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on to set the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode to the standby state.

(d) Check for DTCs CRUISE CONTROL: DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST (2008 LX570) .

OK:

DTC P1631 is not output.
