  1. Power source circuit of the skid control ECU
  2. Skid control ECU sub bus line or connector
  3. Skid control ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (SKID CONTROL ECU SUB BUS LINE)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector (S40).

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Value
    S40-19 (CANH) - S40-18 (CANL)
    		Disconnect the negative auxiliary battery cable
    		54 to 69 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)
OK


2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG1, IG2, GND1, GND2, GND3, GND4, GND5, GND6)

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connectors (S38), (S39), and (S41).

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Value
    S41-1 (GND1) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    S40-2 (GND2) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    S40-1 (GND3) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    S39-2 (GND4) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    S39-1 (GND5) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    S38-4 (GND6) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω

    HINT:
    Measure the resistance with the skid control ECU connector (S40) disconnected.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Value
    S40-7 (IG1) - Body ground
    		Ignition switch on
    		10 to 14 V
    S38-5 (IG2) - Body ground
    		Ignition switch on
    		10 to 14 V

    HINT:
    Measure the voltage with the skid control ECU connector (S40) disconnected.
