1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE LH COVER

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the engine room side cover.



2. DRAIN HYBRID VEHICLE COOLANT

  1. Remove the transaxle side reserve tank.

    NOTICE:
    Do not remove the reserve tank cap when the engine is hot.

  1. Loosen the bleeder plug shown in the illustration and drain the coolant.

  1. Close the bleeder plug.

  1. Remove the plug and gasket shown in the illustration and drain the coolant.

  1. Install the plug with a new gasket.

    Torque:
    39 N*m{ 398 kgf*cm , 29 ft.*lbf }



3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER STAY CENTER

  1. Remove the 5 clips and front bumper stay center.



4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  1. Using a hexagon 4 mm wrench, remove the hexagon screw.

  1. Put protective tape under the front fender.

  1. Remove the 6 screws and 2 bolts.

  1. Release the 6 claws and front bumper assembly.

  1. w/ headlight washer:

    1. Remove the washer hose clip.

  1. Disconnect the fog light connectors.



5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

  1. Remove the front bumper energy absorber.



6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

  1. Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper reinforcement.



7. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  1. Remove the 4 clips and cool air intake duct seal.



8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP W/INLET

  1. Remove the 2 bolts, 4 clamps and air cleaner cap w/ inlet.

  1. Remove the air cleaner filter element from the air cleaner case.



9. SEPARATE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Detach the claws and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the cap.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and nut, and separate the hood lock.



10. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER

  1. Remove the bolt and separate the suction tube bracket.

  1. Disconnect the horn connectors.

  1. Remove the 5 bolts and the radiator support upper.



11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the bolt and hood lock support sub-assembly.



12. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Slide the 2 clamps, and disconnect the 2 water hoses from the radiator assembly.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and radiator assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.
