DESCRIPTION

If the inverter receives a rear motor gate shutdown signal from the MG ECU, it will turn all power transistors off which are activating the Rear Motor to forcibly stop Rear Motor operation.
The MG ECU monitors rear motor gate shutdown signals and detects a malfunction.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The HV control ECU monitors the rear motor gate shutdown (RSDN) signal. If the HV control ECU detects a fault in the RSDN signal, HV control ECU illuminates the MIL and sets a DTC.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.READ OUTPUT DTC (HV)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

  1. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Read output DTC. (Click here)

    Result:
    DTCs except P0A79-701 are output.
