ENGINE FRONT OIL SEAL > INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL OIL PUMP SEAL

  1. Apply MP grease to a new oil seal lip.

    NOTICE:
    Keep the lip free from foreign objects.

  1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the oil pump edge.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not tap the oil seal at an angle.
    2. Wipe off extra grease on the crankshaft.



2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY

  1. Align the keyway of the pulley with the key located on the crankshaft and slide the pulley into place.

    NOTICE:
    Do not scratch the sensor area of the crankshaft timing pulley.

  1. Install the timing belt plate with the bolt.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }



3. INSTALL TIMING BELT

4. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKS
