DTC    B2762    Intrusion Sensor Signal Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The intrusion sensor (theft warning sensor) detects any moving object by using ultrasonic waves and outputs the signals to inform the multiplex network body ECU of an intrusion, so that the theft deterrent system can set off the alarm.
The intrusion sensor (theft warning sensor) conducts self-diagnosis immediately after power is supplied to the sensor (when the theft deterrent system is set).
If a malfunction is detected in the SIG2 line, the multiplex network body ECU outputs this DTC.

DTC No.
DTC Detection Condition
Trouble Area
B2762
After normal/trouble signal is output from the intrusion sensor (theft warning sensor sub-assembly) as result of self-diagnosis, following malfunctions are detected:
  1. SIG2 circuit is open
  2. Reception of signals other than normal/trouble signal
  1. Intrusion sensor (Theft warning sensor)
  2. Wire harness
  3. Multiplex network body ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (THEFT WARNING SENSOR ASSEMBLY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

    B110555E01
  1. Disconnect the O2 light connector and B7 ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Resistance:
    Symbol (Tester Connection)
    Specified Condition
    SIG2 (O2-8) - B7-13 (ISIF)
    Below 1 Ω
    SIG2 (O2-8) - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher

NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK

2.CHECK THEFT WARNING SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY)
  1. Check that the DTC disappears when a normally functioning theft warning sensor sub-assembly is installed.

    OK:
    DTC B2762 in not output.

NG
REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B ASSEMBLY
OK

REPLACE PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY
