1. INSPECT REAR SPEED SENSOR

  1. Inspect the rear speed sensor. If any of the following occurs, replace the rear speed sensor with a new one:

    1. The surface of the rear speed sensor is cracked, dented, or chipped off.
    2. The connector is scratched, cracked, or damaged.
    3. The rear speed sensor has been dropped.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Resistance (at 25 +- 5°C):
    LH 
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    1 (RL+) - 2 (RL-)
    		0.9 to 1.3 kΩ
    RH 
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    1 (RR+) - 2 (RR-)
    		0.9 to 1.3 kΩ

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Resistance:
    LH 
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    1 (RL+) - Body ground
    		1 MΩ or higher
    2 (RL-) - Body ground
    RH 
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    1 (RR+) - Body ground
    		1 MΩ or higher
    2 (RR-) - Body ground
