REMOVAL

Removal / installation


1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE LH COVER

  1. A108719
    Using a clip remover, remove the engine room side cover.


2. DRAIN HYBRID VEHICLE COOLANT

  1. Remove the transaxle side reserve tank.

    NOTICE:
    Do not remove the reserve tank cap when the engine is hot.

  1. C110953
    Loosen the bleeder plug shown in the illustration and drain the coolant.

  1. Close the bleeder plug.

  1. C109300
    Remove the plug and gasket shown in the illustration and drain the coolant.

  1. Install the plug with a new gasket.

    Torque:
    39 N*m{ 398 kgf*cm , 29 ft.*lbf }


3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1

  1. A108722
    Remove the 6 bolts, 2 screws, 2 clips and engine under cover.


4. REMOVE OIL NO.1 COOLER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses.

  1. C113112
    Remove the 3 bolts, and oil cooler assembly.

  1. C113874
    Remove the 3 bolts and air duct.


5. REMOVE FRAME SIDE RAIL PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. A108529
    Using a transmission jack, hold the front frame.

    NOTICE:
    Be sure to position the transmission jack to properly support the front frame.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts, nut and frame side rail plate sub-assembly.


6. REMOVE WATER W/ MOTOR AND BRACKET PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector and 2 water hoses from the water w/ motor and bracket pump assembly.

  1. A116492
    Remove the bolt, nut and water w/ motor and bracket pump assembly.
