INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

1. CHECK IF A PROPER CD IS INSERTED

1. Make sure that the CD is a normal audio CD, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, burred or otherwise defective.

   OK:

   Normal audio CD
   

   HINT:

   1. Translucent or uniquely-shaped CDs cannot be played.
      
   2. CDs for personal computers (with music recorded in) and CD-Rs cannot be played.
      
   3. For vehicles made for Europe, an adapter is not required to play 8 cm (3.2 in.) CDs. For vehicles made for countries except Europe, use an adapter to play 8 cm (3.2 in.) CDs.
      

NG	CD IS FAULTY

OK

2. REPLACE CD WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK

1. Replace the CD with another and recheck.

   1. Replace the CD with another normal one.

   2. Clear the DTC (Click here).

   3. Recheck DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK:

      Malfunction disappears.
