The fuel filter is located on the center of the left frame member near the fuel tank on 1,586cc, 1,796cc and 1979–81 1,970cc engines.
On 1982–84 1,970cc engines, it is located in a bracket on the front center of the fuel tank, immediately below the cargo bed.
On the 1,998cc engine, the filter is located in the engine compartment, secured by a bracket, to the firewall.
On the B2200 diesel, it is a spin-on type filter, much like an oil filter, located between the water separator and the injection pump. On Rotary Pick-Ups, it's under the left side of the cargo bed, just forward of the rear wheel. All trucks use a fuel filter that is replaceable.
