Knock Sensor (KS)

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.
3. Remove the bolt and the KS, then throw away the KS.

To Install:

1. Install a new KS and bolt.
• Torque to 15 ft-lb (20 Nm).

NOTE: The KS is designed to only be used once, so if it is serviced you must install a new KS.

2. Connect the KS electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
