Removal & Installation

Front

To Remove:

1. Remove the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
2. Remove the brake disc and hub.
3. If necessary, resurface the brake disc and hub.

To Install:

1. Clean and examine the front wheel bearings and the brake disc and hub. Next, lubricate the front wheel bearings with the correct type of grease and install a new wheel hub grease seal then install the brake disc and hub.
2. Tighten the spindle nut as you turn the brake disc and hub.
   • Torque to 21 ft-lb (28.5 Nm).
3. Loosen the spindle nut by turning counterclockwise 175°.
4. Tighten the spindle nut while rotating the brake disc and hub.
   • Torque to 17 in-lb (2 Nm).
5. Install the nut retainer, cotter pin, and hub grease cap.
6. Install the front disc brake caliper anchor plate.
