REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1. Insure that the ignition switch is OFF throughout the procedure.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. For 1991–94 vehicles, remove the rear seat cushion.
4. For 1995–98 vehicles, remove the radio/tape/CD player assembly, as outlined in Section 6 of this manual.
5. Disconnect the wiring harness from the G–sensor.
6. Remove the retaining bolts and remove the sensor.

   To install:

7. Position the sensor on the mounting bracket. Tighten the retaining bolts.
8. Connect the electrical harness.
9. Install the rear seat cushion or radio, as applicable.
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
